Teams and leaders
When a team needs to explain its work more clearly, we get out of the meeting room and find the human stories behind it. People practice telling those stories to each other before taking them back to the organization.
Storytelling Adventure Experience™
I created the Storytelling Adventure Experience™ to take storytelling workshops outside the meeting room. I guide speakers, leaders, and teams through a place, with exercises that help them notice more, find their stories, and practice telling them.
From Portland and Bend to Miami, New York, Austin, Dallas, and San Diego, every adventure is shaped around the people, the place, and what they need to say.
Plan your adventure
The adventure in motion
Come along for a look at one Storytelling Adventure Experience™. You’ll see the group explore, work through ideas, and practice telling stories together. Turn on the sound when you’re ready.
How an adventure works
We start with what your group needs to say. I shape the route and the exercises around that goal, then guide people through observation, conversation, and live storytelling practice. We take the Idea Map™ thinking out into the world.
It could be a waterfall, a city street, or a familiar place seen with fresh eyes. People return with a clearer idea, a story they can tell, and the memory of working it out together.
Made for the place
I’ve led adventures in Miami, New York, Portland, Bend, Austin, Dallas, San Diego, and beyond. Your group’s experience will be designed for its own place and purpose.
From the Adventures
Who comes along
I build each Adventure around the people in front of me and the stories they need to tell. Here are a few places it fits.
When a team needs to explain its work more clearly, we get out of the meeting room and find the human stories behind it. People practice telling those stories to each other before taking them back to the organization.
A TEDx lineup, conference cohort, or group of leaders can work on their talks in a way that gets everyone thinking differently. We find the idea, try the story aloud, and learn from hearing one another.
Give people something more useful than another session in a chair. I design an adventure around your place and theme so participants make connections, work with an idea, and leave with a story they can use.
For people working toward something together, the right story can help others see why it matters. We find the moments that carry that purpose and practice telling them in a way that invites people in.
