In the first chapter, they talk about the 4 villains of decision making:
1) Narrow framing – The tenancy to define our choices too narrowly.
2) Confirmation bias – Developing a quick belief about a situation and then seeking out information to confirm that belief.
3) Short term emotion – When we have a decision to make and our short term emotions cloud our long term effects.
4) Overconfidence – People think they know more than they do about how the future will unfold.
I love reading about the psychology of why we make the decisions we do.
